The Museum Branch offers drama-pedagogical – experiential programs, which put the child-visitor at the center of the experience, thus incorporating the original exhibits in the pedagogical experience and allowing children to see historical events, social structures and personal stories through time in an empirical way. When children face contemporary dilemmas integrated into a historical context and experience them through Dramatic Art in Education, they are called to interprete and deal with current social problems. Theatrical programs transform students from passive recipients to active thinking subjects and create a positive emotional context that enhances the subjects’ self-confidence and self-esteem, and builds meaningful and fruitful thinking.
The theatrical-experiential programs that are offered are designed to comply with all the pedagogical and scientific specifications of an exemplar program and are implemented by an experienced theatrical educators. They are addressed to kindergartens, elementary schools and high schools.
