1821 - 2021: THE GREEK REVOLUTION AND THE HEROES OF '21 THROUGH THE EYES OF CHILDREN, 200 YEARS LATER
The War Museum/Nafplio Branch, in the context of the celebrations for the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution, organizes a painting-collage competition for children aged 4-18 titled: 1821 – 2021: the Greek Revolution and the heroes of ’21 through the eyes of children, 200 years later.
The children’s creations, as soon as the conditions allow, will be presented in a periodic exhibition organized by the War Museum/Nafplio Branch and the best will be awarded at the opening of the exhibition.
The winner of each age group wins as a prize three (3) anniversary board games for 1821, created by the Greek company “Desyllas Games” under the auspices of the War Museum.
CONTEST TERMS
The competition will run from March 25 to June 30, 2021.
The work must be printed on A4 or A3 size painting paper, while the choice of materials is free (watercolors, tempera, coloured pencils, acrylics, etc.). Also, the project should not include words, letters, numbers and names.
The competition is open to one (1) painting / work, preschool children (first age group), primary (second age group) and secondary education (third age group).
The students’ works will be sent by post to the following address: War Museum/Nafplio Branch, 22 Amalias, 21100, Nafplio.
The project also requires a parent’s or guardian’s personal statement which will indicate the name of the competing child, their age, school and class and their consent to participate in the competition.
