The Society for Hellenism and Philhellenism, in collaboration with the Philhellenism Museum and the Athens City Festival by the City of Athens, is organizing an event aiming to include in the cultural map of the capital the new Monument of Philhellenes, which will be placed in the heart of Athens, at Vasilissis Sofias Avenue, in front of the War Museum.
The event will take place on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 19:30, at the War Museum’s “Ioannis Kapodistrias” central Hall, where the new film “The Philhellenes” will be screened.
The film is a 35-minute dramatized documentary on the Philhellenic movement from the Renaissance to the liberation of Greece, and the role of the Philhellenes in the Greek state’s independence. The film will be screened in Greek with English subtitles.
