The library of the War Museum has been operating continuously since 1976 and specializes in publications related to military history. Its book collection consists of the main collection, which includes the largest number of books, the Paparrodou collection, and the collection of the historical archive. The total number of books amounts to approximately
25,000 volumes and consists of Greek and foreign language publications, mainly military history, but also humanities and social sciences, military regulations, military manuals and yearbooks of officers of all three Armed Forces Services.
The library and the reading room are housed in the building of the War Museum in Athens, with opening hours for the public:
Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 14:00
Saturday – Sunday: Closed
It is not possible to borrow books outside the library.
