The War Museum celebrates its 50th anniversary with the issue of an anniversary stamp series in cooperation with the Hellenic Post

The War Museum, in the context of the events marking the 50th anniversary of its inauguration, is pleased to announce its cooperation with the Hellenic Post (ELTA) for the issue of a collector’s series of stamps dedicated to this anniversary.

The initiative is part of the actions to promote and highlight the work of the Museum, which since 1975 has been the custodian of military history and our cultural heritage.

The cooperation between the War Museum and the Hellenic Post, an emblematic institution of communication and culture, is an important milestone in the preservation of historical memory for society. Through the small but symbolically powerful medium of the stamp, Greek history travels within and beyond our borders, highlighting the value of our collective heritage of the nation’s struggles for freedom.

The anniversary series is available from ELTA stores and online at philotelismos.gr, giving the public the opportunity to acquire a unique collector’s item of memory and culture.
