On Thursday 16/04/2026 the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Athens War Museum and the Military Museum of Poland took place, sealing the beginning of a substantial cooperation in the fields of research, education and the promotion of military history and heritage.

 

The ceremony was held at the Armed Forces Officers’ Club in Athens in the presence of the Deputy Minister of National Defence of Greece, Mr. Athanasios Davakis, and the Deputy Minister of National Defence of Poland, Mr. Paweł Zalewski. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the War Museum, Vice Admiral (retired), Mr. Pawełewski, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the War Museum, Mr. Pawełewski, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the War Museum, Mr. Pawełewski. Konstantinos Karamesinis and the Director of the Military Museum of Poland, Major General (retired), Chairman of the Board of Directors of the War Museum of the War Museum of Poland, Major General (retired). Professor Bogusław Pacek, signed an agreement for the development of friendship and cooperation activities between the two institutions.

– Commodore (retired) Evangelos-Angelos Angelos Angelakos, member of the Board of the MT
– Brigadier General (retired) Konstantinos Velentzas, member of the Board of the MT
– The Director of the MT, Colonel (PB) Athanasios Dagkas

 

Moreover, in the framework of the visit, the Polish delegation was guided through the exhibition halls of the War Museum, gaining a comprehensive picture of Greek Military History.

 

The War Museum continues to strengthen its international role, promoting knowledge, cooperation and cultural exchange.
