It was Friday -as it is today- 18 July 1975, when the President of the Republic, Konstantinos Tsatsos, in the presence of the Minister of National Defence, Evangelos Averof, the first Chairman of the Board of Directors, Major General Stephanos Doukas, officials and a large number of people, inaugurated the War Museum.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The War Museum, an institutional “Ark” for the preservation and presentation of war relics and memorabilia, stimulates memory and strengthens our national consciousness.<\/p>\n<\/div>
