The chariots of the 1821 Struggle

1821 τα άρματα του Αγώνα

This publication focuses on the way in which the Fighters of 1821 fought, presenting the small arms, guns and spear guns, as well as the accessories they carried. Also, to make the presentation more accessible, the relics are accompanied by artwork by great painters of the era, through which the reader can understand how the warrior carried his or her equipment or weapon. Almost all the objects come from the internationally renowned collection of Peter Saroglou, which is on display in a specially designed room of the War Museum. In fact, this is the first publication since the museum’s foundation in which a small part of Saroglou’s vast collection is published.
