ΑΝΤΙΠΤΕΡΑΡΧΟΣ (Ι) Κωνσταντίνος Καραμεσίνης

Vice General (I) (retired). Konstantinos Karamesinis is President of the War Museum and Honorary Commander of the Icons School.

He was born in Grevena in 1966. He entered the Icons School in 1983 and graduated in 1987, and was named Lieutenant. He graduated from the School of Administration and Project Management of the University of Thessaly.

He served in the Armed Forces from various positions:

At the 110 Fighter Wing, as Commander of the Combat Aviation Training Center (CFTC), Commander of the 348 Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron with Touchdown (RF-4E Phantom), Chief of Flight and Ground Safety, Director of Operations and Training, Deputy Commander and Commander of the 110 Fighter Wing.

At Headquarters Tactical Air Command, as a staff member in the Operations Division and as Director in the Directorate of Flight and Ground Safety.

At the Centre for Flight and Ground Safety and Security (CSEPS) as Director.

Air Training Command, as Chief of Staff.

At the Guards School, as a Commander.

He served as Defence Attaché in Jordan with parallel accreditation in Lebanon, Syria and Iraq from August 2011 to October 2014.

He retired with the rank of Vice Captain in January 2024 and was awarded the title of Honorary Commander of the Icons School.

He has completed over 3,000 hours of flight time with T-41D, T-37B/C, T-2E and RF-4E Phantom aircraft.

Successfully completed the Schools/training provided by grade.

He is a graduate of the School of War (S.P.)

He has been honoured with all the medals and commendations of the Greek Armed Forces.
