Stathis has a broad transactional practice with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and bankruptcy restructuring. He led the effort to reform the insolvency legislation, which led to the adoption of a new Greek insolvency framework in 2020. Stathis is an INSOL International Fellow, a member of the American College of Bankruptcy and a member of the International Insolvency Institute.
He is a member of the expert group advising the European Commission on restructuring and insolvency reform in the EU. He is president of the Hellenic Society for Environment and Culture.
