
On Thursday 30 January, the cutting of the War Museum’s Vasilopita for 2025 took place!
The event was honored with the presence of the Chief of the Armed Forces General Demetrios Houpis, the Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, the Chief of the General Staff Vice Admiral Demetrios-Eleftherios Katara, the Chief of the General Staff Vice Captain Demosthenes Gregoriadis, the Museum’s Board of Directors, as well as representatives of the Church, Local Government, embassies, institutions, museums, cultural institutions of Athens and many other friends, supporters and donors of the Museum.
On the occasion of the start of the new year, the President of the Museum, Retired Admiral Gen. Konstantinos Karamesinis, representing the Board of Directors, expressed his warmest wishes for a creative and successful New Year. With everyone’s support, the Museum continues its work of keeping the memory of history alive, strengthening the relationship with the past and inspiring future generations, highlighting the importance of its mission in preserving and promoting the military history and heritage of Greece.
We wish 2025 to be a year full of progress, cooperation and cultural development!
