The diverse initiatives and actions, as well as the multifaceted work that has been carried out over the last four years at the War Museum, were the focus of the comprehensive and targeted speech of the President of the War Museum Anastasios Liaskos, during the well-attended event for the cutting of the annual cake for the year 2024.

On the occasion of the event, the following were awarded:

• Dr. Potitsa Grigorakou, Researcher of the History of Hellenistic Civilization of the East and Professor at the Peoples’ University, who donated to the War Museum Library the archival pioneering material “Hellenistic World and Culture of the East”.
• Mr. Ioannis Mihos for his selfless contribution to the operation of transporting the MIRAGE F1 CG aircraft from the Tanagra base to the War Museum of Chalkida and
• Mr. Christos Petreas, associate and advisor to the Museum on military tourism issues.

The event was honoured with the presence of:

• His Eminence Archimandrite Father Theophanis Darzendas, as representative of the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece,
• The former Minister of National Defence Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos,
• The Chief of the Armed Forces General Dimitrios Houpis,
• The Secretary General of Hellenism Abroad Ioannis Chrysoulakis,
• Heads of delegations of senior and senior officers of the three branches of the Armed Forces and the Security Forces,
• The Mayor of Konitsa Andreas Papaspyrou, as well as the members of the Board of Directors of the War Museum, sponsors, donors, partners, representatives of the War Museum Branches, military and civilian personnel and many friends of the War Museum.
